Leyla Guilany-Lyard is the SVP, Global Head of Communications at Tinder. She has more than 20 years of experience driving global consumer, brand, and corporate communications across agencies, as well as in-house for large multinationals including eBay and Netflix. Prior to her current role, Leyla spent two years leading Tinder’s communications efforts and teams in EMEA – one of the company’s most important regions outside of the US.
Leyla has a strong background supporting C-level executives and regional leaders, favoring close collaboration with cross functional partners to protect brands through consistent positioning and messaging. Her seven years with eBay offered extensive experience in the management of crises and sensitive issues. Since her work with Netflix, Leyla has also championed communications and social alignment to efficiently impact specific audiences.
Leyla grew up in France with roots in Iran and the US, and has lived in many different cities across Europe. She speaks French, English, Spanish, and Farsi, and has a master’s degree in global communications. With a uniquely international background, one of Leyla’s strengths is creating bridges between US strategic thinking and global execution. She is passionate about supporting the next generation of communications talent and working for brands like Tinder that have a meaningful mission.
